Important Medical Clearance Protocols

Routine general dental visits, checkups, and hygiene cleanings do not constitute emergency medical care and do not replace evaluation by a general medical physician. Patients taking systemic antiresorptive medications (such as IV bisphosphonates for osteoporosis or bone metastasis) or therapeutic anticoagulants (such as warfarin or direct oral anticoagulants) require written clearance from their managing physician prior to deep subgingival scaling or invasive restorative instrumentation.

Frequently Asked Questions on Service Delivery

Orlinexan is a direct self-pay practice. We do not participate in insurance provider networks or bill carriers directly. Payment is completed at the end of each appointment by card or cash. We immediately print an itemized superbill with CDT dental codes and clinical fees that you can submit directly to your dental PPO insurer for reimbursement.

Subgingival periodontal scaling reaches beneath the gingival margin where vascular beds are dense. Patients receiving therapeutic anticoagulation or IV bisphosphonate therapy carry specific systemic bleeding and osteonecrosis risks. Written sign-off from your primary care physician ensures clinical safety before instrumentation begins.

We focus strictly on preventive hygiene, diagnostic assessments, and direct composite fillings. If your digital radiographs or examination indicate the need for root canal procedures, surgical extractions, or prosthodontic crowns, we provide you with your digital radiographs and written notes so you can schedule with an outside specialist.
